“My opponent, Republican Assemblyman David Hadley, is campaigning like his party’s Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, with ridiculous, fear-mongering lies about my coauthoring AB 375, a 2013 bill, that supposedly allows pedophiles in classrooms.

You want the truth? You can Google "AB 375 Los Angeles Times".

According to the Times editorial of April 7, 2013, AB 375 "would help streamline the tortuous procedure for getting rid of the state's worst teachers." The editorial declares, "[AB 375] could become one of the state's most important and overdue education reforms in more than a decade."

Torrance, CA - Al Muratsuchi, candidate for Assembly for the 66th District, praised the Assembly for passing groundbreaking bill SB 32 to further fight global climate change in California. The bill, which sets the greenhouse gas emissions target to 40% below 1990 levels by 2030, continues California’s great history as a leader in clean energy and the environment. The bill, which also passed through the State Senate and is expected to be signed by Governor Jerry Brown, was opposed by the oil industry.

Says historic election is too important to “stay on the sidelines” and calls out Trump for his “mean-spirited, demagogic candidacy.”

Torrance, CA – This week, the Torrance Daily Breeze published an Op-ed written by Al Muratsuchi, candidate for Assembly in the 66th District entitled, “Take a stand for the South Bay: Dump Trump,” (http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20160822/take-a-stand-for-the-south-bay-dump-trump-al-muratsuchi).

In it, he wrote that this election is too important to sit on the sidelines “with your finger in the wind.” He expressed concern about the “potential reality of Trump as our commander-in-chief with control over our military and nuclear weapons,” and about his “mean-spirited, demagogic candidacy.” He also enthusiastically endorsed Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, calling her, “the most experienced and best qualified candidate to lead our nation.”

Below is the Op-ed:

“With a historic presidential election rapidly approaching, it is time to take a real stand for the South Bay and our country.

Our next president of the United States is going to be either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, with all due respect to third-party candidates. The choice between Clinton and Trump could not be more clear. The stakes could not be higher — for our children, our families, and our nation.

This is no time to stay on the sidelines of this historic election with your finger in the wind. We cannot afford to sit this one out or cast a protest vote. This election is too important.

Rancho Palos Verdes, CA – Today, at a rally near Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, which falls in the 66th Assembly District, Al Muratsuchi, Candidate for Assembly in the 66th District, Congressman Ted Lieu, Eric Bauman, the Los Angeles County Democratic chairman, teachers and activists, all called on Assemblyman David Hadley to take a stand against Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump. Hadley recently chose to repeat his pattern of indecision and lack of leadership by announcing that he won’t vote in the Presidential election. The speakers also pointed out the shared values between Donald Trump and David Hadley, as outlined on hadleytrump.com.

The event was broadcast on Facebook live, which can still be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/almuratsuchi/videos/1078194358916781/

In a pattern that has become his signature move in Sacramento, Republican Assemblyman David Hadley has once again shown how afraid he is to take real stand.. In this case, his indecision in the Presidential race is really just a mask hiding the truth: that he actually politically agrees with much of what Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump stands for. As the website www.Hadleytrump.com shows, their shared values includes positions that are clearly too extreme for the South Bay, including Hadley’s 17 percent rating from Planned Parenthood, his opposition to clear air regulations and support of fracking.

By not taking a stand, Hadley prove he doesn’t care if Trump, and all his dangerous policies, is elected

Assemblymember David Hadley’s decision to not vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump in this historic election is not just any regular, average non-decision that he tends to make in his life as a representative of the South Bay. No, this one is much, much bigger.

Because this time, his non-decision could help put Donald Trump into the Oval Office.

Yes, that Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. Yes, the one who just called President Obama and Hillary Clinton “the founders of ISIS” and implied in a speech that gun owners should shoot Secretary Hillary Clinton or the judges that she nominates as President. Yes, the same Donald Trump who, since he announced his candidacy, has called for punishment for women who seek abortions, called Mexicans “rapists,” made fun of a disabled reporter and said he wants to ban Muslims from the country.

Buckles under pressure and then decides to not take a stand at all

Assemblymember David Hadley has decided again to duck and run when it comes to decisions that matter to the people of the South Bay. In a pattern that has become his signature move in Sacramento, Hadley sidesteps an issue by taking no stand at all and then pretends like he has actually taken a stand. In this case, he announced, in an Op-ed, that he would make a non-decision in the Presidential race by voting for neither Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, his Republican party’s nominee.
