I am honored to announce that my campaign has been given the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction, for standing up for gun violence prevention and recognizing gun safety.

As your South Bay Assemblymember, I’m standing up to the NRA and the gun lobby to say, enough is enough.

I will continue to fight for common sense gun safety laws, like universal background checks for gun buyers and assault weapons bans. This year, I wrote a bill to allow teachers and principals to take guns away from mentally disturbed and dangerous students.

As a former prosecutor, I have a proven record of enforcing gun safety laws and fighting to protect our families and neighborhoods.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes. Since its inception after the tragedy at Sandy Hook School, Moms Demand Action has established a chapter in every state of the country and, along with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Everytown Survivor Network, is part of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than four million supporters.
